I’ve heard that execs at a meeting will actually take out their Blackberry/other devide & place it on the conference table as if to say, “I’m important. People call me all the time so I can’t focus just on you & your presentation. No matter who you think you are.” This was compared to warriors in the old days who’d come to a “peace meeting” but be prepared with their knives next to them on the table. Who are they kidding?

i think this is a very good idea. people spend so much time on their technology that they dont even realize that they have special people around them. i love the the Day to disconnect.
